I worried over situations that I have never worried about before
Turning twenty four
This must be what it feels like
To be my dad

Where did all my time go?
I flushed it down a giant toilet I am
Sticking my hands down there
Just to find anything
Where did all my friends go?
I often wonder how they're doing when I pass by places I know I've puked
Right in front of them

Why does it feel so sad
Pretending I'm my dad

He told me in confidence that he doesn't want to live
Asking if I would miss him if I wasn't his kid
Between you and me
I've been practicing how not to

I have so many questions
None that can't be solved with a bottle of gin
I'll go hide out in my room
Wish I was twenty again

So I could feel that drunk
Without throwing up

I wonder if all things waste away when you get old
If it isn't worth it in the end like I've been told
I forgive myself
And I blame everyone else
